Ukrainian Day will be celebrated by members of the Vancouver Branch of the Ukrainian Canadian Committee on Sunday, August 16th, on the grounds of the Ukrainian Catholic Centre, 3150 Ash Street. The day will begin with Divine Liturgy services in all Ukrainian Catholic and Ukrainian Orthodox Churches in Vancouver, Whalley, New Westminster, Burnaby and Richmond, after which members and friends will gather a't’liOO p.m. for a dinner of Ukrainian sausage, "Kishka", holubtsi, perohe and sour creamy Hot dogs, pie and ice cream, and hot and cold drinks will also be served during the day. There will be prizes and surprizes, games and sports for all age groups. 

Highlight of the day will be the crowning of the Popularity Queen to be chosen from amongst the contestants from the various parishes and organizations. Mrs. Stephen Kripps, President of the Vancouver Branch of the Ukrainian Canadian Committee is organizing the event, assisted by Vice-President Mr. Stephen Soltys, co-ordinator, and members of the Executive of the Ukrainian Canadian Committee' Further details may be obtained by phoning FA 1-6U-60.
